All programs comes on the internet server first then by using internet service we connect internet  to our STBs and this STB connected to our Cable TV (Television) may be traditional broadcast TV. Working of IPTV (Internet Protocol Television)

When the program is recorded in studio that program is send in the space from the transmitter antenna this program signal is receive by the satellite or transponder into the space. That signal sends back to the earth by the satellite to our local cable TV operator antenna & receives this signal which is connected to our TV (Television). But in the IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) Connection when a program is recorded in the studio this recorded data is sent the internet server and the cable TV (Television) operator or the internet telecom companies is access to the internet server. We can take a connection at home from Cable Operator or internet company if we take a connection from cable operators or cable TV (Television) providers then we required STB to connect the TV (Television) & if we take a connection from the internet telecom companies then we required a Router box.

When this STB is connected to our cable TV (Television) at the home or office then we can access the internet in Cable TV (Television) & can see programs or live telecast programs also.

IPTV (Internet protocol television) is also used for other technology such as bandwidth management, media conversion & in cashing to provide shopping, delivering services
